George Bihari
Maths Coordinator - MYP - DP Maths Teacher
I am the Mathematics Coordinator and a MYP–DP Mathematics Teacher, with a strong passion for STEM education and creative learning. I hold a BSc Mathematician (Engineering Mathematics specialism) and a BSc Chemist (Radiochemistry) degrees, and I have completed an MSc in Applied and Financial Mathematics. I am currently completing my MSc in Mathematics Education and QTS/GTCS too.
I have completed extensive CPD in education, including qualifications as a Forest School Leader, Outdoor Educator, and Duke of Edinburgh Award Leader. I strongly believe in the value of outdoor and experiential learning and enjoy integrating real-world and outdoor contexts into mathematics and STEM education. Alongside teaching, I have a strong interest in art—particularly pyrography (wood-burning art)—and I enjoy exploring the connection between creativity, structure, and mathematical thinking. I also love outdoor activities, hiking, and mountaineering, which strongly influence my approach to learning and wellbeing. As Mathematics Coordinator, I work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure curriculum coherence, high academic standards, and meaningful student progress across the mathematics programme.
